The Bespoke Chef is a Private Chef and Catering Service in Christchurch. Lead by Chef Jacob McKerrow, Jacob is a professionally trained chef with a Diploma of Culinary Arts and over 12 years’ experience in the industry. Jacob leads a team of skilled Chefs who work with him for their many catering events.
After completing his training in Christchurch, Jacob spent time in Auckland working under now TV Celebrity and Chef Michael Van De Elzen in the award winning Molten Restaurant. It was under the guidance of this award-winning Chef Jacob discovered his passion for creative and quality cooking. Since returning to Christchurch he has worked in intimate restaurants such as Black Estate Winery and Leinster Road Bistro.
It was after catering large to functions at VBase in Christchurch, Jacob saw a gap in the catering market. One where fine food could still be served to catered events and wedding functions. It was from this The Bespoke Chef was born.
Jacob is inspired by the delicious and plentiful seasonal produce we have here in Christchurch and Canterbury. His goal is to create delicious well-presented dishes and canapes that showcase the area’s high-quality produce. As everyone has different preferences with food Jacob provides a speciality bespoke service to ensure individual tastes are not only met but exceeded.
